What made you started to think about Baking?
I have grown up among the whiff of dark chocolate, freshly baked cookies and decadent cheesecakes being served at breakfast and that’s just when my love for baking specially desserts began. Since then there has been no looking back, right from when I first copied my mom’s popular chocolate fudge cake recipe as a kid.
What's baking to you and how is it different from regular cooking ?
Baking takes me into my own little world that’s full of joy and excitement! It allows me to be creative in my own way and very satisfied with the outcome, not just that, I have my customers smiling and happy too!

What's your opinion about food scenes in Hyderabad for Home Bakers ? How much tough is to setup and establish?
In the recent past there has been a sudden boom of home bakers in Hyderabad and I am glad to be one of them. The response to us home bakers has been encouraging. However, more events that give us a platform would be warmly welcomed!
The first challenge that we faced was to come up with a dessert menu that was delectable and would resonate well with everyone’s palate. Another challenge was to devise the marketing strategy and how we wanted to place ourselves in the market which is becoming more and more competitive.
What's the best feedback/comment you got from your customer that you cherish till date?
“I personally hate sweets and any form of chocolates...but you have brought about a change in mind set...please keep up this amazing work!!”
What do you want to resonate with your customers via your creations?
My whole idea of starting The Dessert Box was to bring homemade goodness to people’s doorstep! All my products are made using high-quality ingredients and yet keeping the prices very affordable so much so that we have customers who have been pleasantly surprised and have been curious about the low pricing. We at The Dessert Box believe that you don’t need to burn a hole in your pocket to enjoy the good things in life!
Whats your signature products and recommendations?
Pecan Pie, Apple Crumble, Brownies, Butterscotch Cookies, Date Walnut Loaf, Lemon Cupcake, Peanut Butter Pie Mousse to name a few.

Our products are available online on Swiggy and Zomato. They can also directly be ordered by calling on 9000148922. The Dessert Box is present on Instagram and Facebook as well.
What's next steps in your baking career and/or passion?
Plan to make the current model sustainable and hope I can start a cafe of my own someday!
What's to change for home bakers to be more influential in Hyderabad Food scenes?
We need more prominent platforms/events to showcase the creative and delectable aspect of baking.
